BB's Car Club
BB’s Car Club is the fastest growing Car Club and Cruz
In in Southern Ohio. The club being just over two
years old has over 145 current members and growing.
The membership is made up from people from Ohio,
Kentucky, and West Virginia with members as far
away as Atlanta, Georgia. The club membership is
approximately 40% women. You do not have to own a
car to belong to BB’s Car Club, just have to possess
the love of cars. Many of the members have cars
ranging back to the 20’s with some owning newer
unique models. The car club is a family oriented club
which stresses family involvement in projects and
Cruz Ins.
BB’s Car Club is involved in many local charities along
with raising money for St. Judes thru their November
auction and with the Children’s Miracle Network,Also
they are involved with March of Dimes.
At Thanksgiving and Christmas they donate food to
the local food banks along with some of the food
kitchens and shelters. They also collect toys all year
for the toys for the under privileged children. At the
beginning of the school year they work with local
churches and organizations gathering school supplies
for the children who may not be able to afford them.
The members also help out local churches putting on
Cruz Ins and Car Shows to raise money for building
funds and smaller local businesses to draw people to
their shops and restaurants.
BB’s Car Club Cruz Ins offers some things that are
different than most Cruz Ins. They give door prizes
away every 10 minutes thru out the Cruz Ins into
registered cars. They also give away gifts for all the
kids that attend whether they are with the car owners
or spectators. There are special prize give aways all
evening that is open to both car owners and
spectators. At every Cruz In three cars are spot
lighted, one at 6-7&8 pm. These cars have a sign
placed in front of them saying they have been spot
lighted. The car owners are asked to come to the DJ
stand and get on the microphone and introduce
themselves and to tell everyone about their cars. A
picture is taken of the spot lighted vehicle which is
framed and presented to the car owner at the next
Cruz In. These cars are chosen as the Presidents
Choice. They do not have to be finished, they can be a
work in progress, all original to completed show cars.
The favorite 50’s, early 60’s and beach music is
provided by Magic Carpet Productions with Mister J
and Company, the favorite Cruz In DJ in the Tri-state
area. Every show is started off with an invocation and
the National Anthem. The music is always dedicated
to the men and women in the Armed Forces. The last
song played at every show is “God Bless the USA”.
Each Cruz In has a theme for the holiday of the Month
or special dedication.
